At Communication Mastery, we are committed to providing high-quality educational services. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for our courses, consultations, and other services. Please read this policy carefully before enrolling in any of our programs.

By purchasing our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Refund Policy.

2. General Refund Principles

Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both our students and our organization. We recognize that circumstances may arise that prevent participation, while also acknowledging that we incur costs in preparing and delivering educational services. All refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis within the framework of the policies outlined below.

3. Course Refunds

3.1 Standard Courses (Multi-Session Programs)

Full Refund (100%)

You are eligible for a full refund if:

  • You cancel your enrollment more than 14 days before the course start date
  • The course is cancelled by Communication Mastery for any reason
  • We are unable to provide the service as described due to circumstances within our control

Partial Refund (50%)

You may receive a 50% refund if:

  • You cancel your enrollment between 7-14 days before the course start date
  • You withdraw from the course after the first session but before 25% of scheduled sessions have been completed

No Refund

No refund will be issued if:

  • You cancel less than 7 days before the course start date
  • You withdraw after 25% or more of scheduled sessions have been completed
  • You are removed from a course due to violation of our Terms & Conditions
  • You simply change your mind after the course has begun
  • You fail to attend scheduled sessions without prior cancellation

3.2 Intensive Workshops and Short Courses

For intensive workshops or courses lasting 1-2 days:

  • Full refund: Cancellation more than 7 days before the workshop start date
  • 50% refund: Cancellation 3-7 days before the workshop start date
  • No refund: Cancellation less than 3 days before the start date or no-shows

3.3 Online Self-Paced Courses

For self-paced online courses with immediate access:

  • Full refund: Request made within 7 days of purchase, provided less than 20% of course content has been accessed
  • No refund: After 7 days from purchase date or if more than 20% of content has been accessed

4. Personal Consultation Refunds

4.1 Individual Consultation Sessions

  • Full refund: Cancellation more than 48 hours before the scheduled session
  • 50% refund: Cancellation 24-48 hours before the scheduled session
  • No refund: Cancellation less than 24 hours before the session or no-shows

4.2 Consultation Packages

For pre-purchased packages of multiple consultation sessions:

  • Unused sessions may be refunded on a pro-rata basis if requested before 50% of purchased sessions have been completed
  • Individual session cancellation policies apply to each scheduled appointment
  • Packages expire 12 months from purchase date; no refunds for expired packages

5. Corporate Training Programs

Corporate training programs are customized services with specific contractual terms. Refund and cancellation policies for corporate programs are outlined in individual service agreements and may differ from standard policies. Please refer to your specific corporate training contract for applicable terms.

6. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unexpected situations may arise. We will consider refund requests outside our standard policy in cases of:

  • Serious illness or medical emergency (documentation required)
  • Death of immediate family member (documentation required)
  • Military deployment or emergency relocation
  • Other extraordinary circumstances beyond your control

Such requests must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

7. Transfer and Rescheduling Options

7.1 Course Transfers

As an alternative to refunds, you may transfer your enrollment to a future session of the same course or a different course of equal value, subject to availability, if:

  • You request the transfer at least 7 days before the original course start date
  • The alternative course takes place within 12 months of your original enrollment date
  • You have not attended more than one session of the original course

A £50 administrative fee may apply to transfer requests.

7.2 Consultation Rescheduling

Individual consultation sessions may be rescheduled without penalty if:

  • You provide at least 48 hours' notice
  • You reschedule to a mutually agreeable time within 30 days
  • You have not exceeded two rescheduling requests for the same session

8. Refund Request Process

8.1 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, you must:

  1. Submit a written refund request via email to [email protected]
  2. Include your full name, enrollment details, and order number
  3. Clearly state the reason for your refund request
  4. Provide any required supporting documentation

8.2 Processing Timeline

Once we receive your refund request:

  • We will acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
  • We will review your request and respond with a decision within 5-7 business days
  • If approved, refunds will be processed within 10-14 business days
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method

8.3 Required Information

To facilitate processing, please ensure your refund request includes:

  • Date of original purchase
  • Course or service name
  • Transaction/order reference number
  • Detailed explanation of circumstances
  • Supporting documentation (if applicable)

9. Payment Method and Currency

Refunds will be issued in the same currency and to the same payment method used for the original purchase. Please note:

  • Credit/debit card refunds appear on statements within 5-10 business days after processing
  • Bank transfer refunds may take 7-14 business days depending on your financial institution
  • We are not responsible for currency conversion fees or exchange rate fluctuations
  • Payment processing fees are non-refundable

10. Non-Refundable Items and Services

The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Course materials that have been downloaded or shipped
  • Recorded webinar access after viewing has commenced
  • Promotional or discounted services clearly marked as "non-refundable"
  • Administrative, processing, or payment gateway fees
  • Services where significant customization work has been completed
  • Gift vouchers or gift certificates (unless required by law)

11. Course Cancellation by Communication Mastery

If we must cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, or other circumstances:

  • You will receive notification as soon as reasonably possible
  • You will receive a full refund of all fees paid
  • Alternatively, you may transfer to another available course at no additional cost
  • We are not liable for any consequential losses or expenses incurred (travel, accommodation, etc.)

12. Technical Issues

For online courses and virtual consultations, if technical problems on our end prevent you from accessing services:

  • We will make reasonable efforts to resolve issues promptly
  • Alternative access methods or times will be offered when possible
  • If the issue cannot be resolved, you will receive a prorated refund for inaccessible content
  • We are not responsible for technical issues on your end (internet connectivity, device compatibility, etc.)

13. Disputes and Appeals

If you disagree with a refund decision:

  • You may appeal the decision by contacting our customer service team
  • Provide additional information or documentation supporting your case
  • Appeals will be reviewed by senior management
  • Final decisions will be communicated within 10 business days

If you remain unsatisfied after the internal appeals process, you may pursue resolution through applicable consumer protection agencies or legal channels in accordance with UK law.

14. Consumer Rights

This Refund Policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You have legal rights in relation to services that are not as described, not fit for purpose, or not provided with reasonable care and skill. For advice about your consumer rights, contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.

15. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase will govern your transaction. Material changes will be communicated to existing enrolled students via email.
